Tanya Liu

Dr. Tanya Liu


Tanya is now a Mechanical Engineer at Google working on optimizing data centers. She received her Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford in 2020 and completed a postdoctoral appointment with the Mauter lab in the Civil & Environmental Engineering department afterwards. In 2014, she completed a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. During her time at Stanford, her research interests included the modeling and characterization of two-phase flow in various porous media. She was the recipient of a Stanford Graduate Engineering fellowship and was supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.
