Chris Perez

Dr. Christopher Perez

Graduate Student


Dr. Perez was born and raised Los Angeles, CA, receiving his B.S. with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2017. He was pursuing his M.S. and Ph.D. Mechanical Engineering and was supported by the Stanford EDGE and DARE fellowships. His research interests lie in stretching the limits of thermal metrologies to gain a fundamental understanding of energy transport in nanostructured devices. Aside from research, Chris is a hip-hop/jazz-head who enjoys working with his hands, tutoring students, promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM, and trying new foods. Since graduation, Dr. Perez has joined the hardware technology team at Apple as a thermal engineer.
