Shilpi received her B.S. with honors in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Arizona in 2007, and her M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2010. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University and is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship. Her current research focuses on developing thermal metrology techniques to analyze bio-fluid thermal phenomena, such as DNA melting reaction thermodynamics and kinetics. She is utilizing and extending the 3omega measurement technique to detect sensitive thermal effects due to DNA oligo and polynucleotide transitions.
