Lewis Hom

lrhom@stanford.edu

is pursuing his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on heat
transfer and energy systems.  He earned his B.S. from Stanford in Mechanical Engineering in 2010. His research interests include thermal management of high power-density
electronics, infrared thermometry for use in real-time hotspot diagnostics, and
energy-harvesting thermoelectric generators. His current research is on infrared thermal imagery and power mapping of microprocessors and automotive thermoelectric energy harvesting system design. Lewis is supported by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship.

His other academic interests include clean energy systems modeling, fluid mechanics, mechatronics, and electric vehicles.  Outside of academia, Lewis is an avid social dancer and tea drinker.
