Congrats to Michael Barako on winning a competitive and prestigious NDSEG fellowship, effective Fall 2012.  The second is the Centennial TA award, in recognition of his service for the class ME131A during Fall quarter 2011-2012.

We welcome two undergraduate researchers into the lab.  Jena Barnes, a junior in materials science & engineering, and Maneeshika Madduri, a junior in electrical engineering, are conducting projects on thermoelectric characterization of nanowire thin films.

The reviews are in and the revisions are complete, and the NanoHeat lab will present an unprecedented 9 papers at ITHERM 2012 in San Diego, CA, May 30-June 2.

Jaeho Lee, Takashi Kodama, and Yoonjin Won are recognized by 2nd place in best paper competition at the ASME MNHMT 2012 in February in Atlanta!  The paper presented first data for the thermoelectric properties of GeSbTe films down to 25 nm.
